Originally from San
Francisco and raised in Los Angeles, Jay was
lead vocalist in synth industrial band Orgy, as
well as producing/engineering bands as Lit,
Deadsy, Crazy Town, Coal Chamber, Trick
Factory and having re-mixed Linkin Parks
'Pts. OF.Athrty' which was the first and only
single off Reanimation to hit the Billboard
charts.
Producer, engineer, songwriter, bassist,
programmer, voice, actor. In a recent
interview with MTV, deadmau5 said that he
got the idea of using his mouse head from
Gordon, after one day he was "talking with
him (Gordon) online and I showed him my
logo, and he said 'Dude, if you ever do live
stuff, you've gotta make that as a head and
wear it."
